Tampere Game Hub
Tampere Game Hub ry promotes and assists the Tampere game industry. With over 30 companies, the Tampere region is the second biggest game development cluster in Finland. Together with the city of Tampere, Tampere Game Hub organizes events, funding opportunities, business delegations, office spaces and more for game developers in the region.
The new tampere.games website features an extensive catalogue of the game developers in the region, as well as organizations, potential investors and more. In the future, the site will feature company profiles, job listings, education resources and everything you need to get started in the Finnish games industry.
Tampere Game Hub has launched the Tampere Game Incubator, a 10 week course for game teams in the Tampere region. The hand picked six teams will receive top quality mentoring from investors like Play Ventures and Sisu Game Ventures as well as experts from the Finnish game industry. The course runs from 25.9.2019 to 20.11.2019 and culminates in a mentor day where the teams get to pitch to a group of investors, mentors and industry experts. Read more at tampere.games.
Tomi Toikka is the hub lead of Tampere Game Hub ry as well as the CEO, Founder & Creative Director of Catland, a game company that makes games that embrace insanity. A young powerhouse of everything from game production to marketing and game design, Toikka has shipped five titles across multiple platforms. Tomi Toikka founded Tampere Game Hub ry to assist the Tampere games industry. He is excited to present the games industry of Tampere to IGDA.
Demo Corner
The Demo Corner is a great place to showcase your game, do some user testing, and get feedback. It doesn't matter if you're working for a small studio, a hobbyist or student working on a project, or veteran team testing a game in early development (in TestFlight, etc). This place is for you. IGDA Finland encourages industry experts to review the games and provide feedback to help teams grow.
