Time to dust off your Santa hats and gear up for the IGDA Finland December seminar and gathering with Reforged Studios and Critical Force! The two startups are not only offering you seminars with veteran speakers and a few drinks, but have also started a strategic co-op on other fronts. They aim to assist each other in bringing mSports to a new level.

Kajaani based Critical Force, the 2016 Finnish Game Developer of the year, has soft launched free to play FPS title Critical Ops. The game has already been downloaded over 10 million times.

Helsinki and Los Angeles based Reforged Studios is a 20-person team of game industry veterans who have previously worked on titles such as League of Legends, StarCraft 2, World of Warcraft, Warhammer, Need for Speed, EVE Online and Walking Dead: No Man's Land. The first title is currently in development and will be launched in 2017.

The seminar will have three great speeches:

Andy Chambers, Creative Director at Reforged, has 26 years’ experience in the gaming industry. His impressive track record includes being Lead Designer on Warhammer 40K, Creative Director at Blizzard Entertainment and Lead Writer for Starcraft 2. Andy will talk about Unit Design Theory.

Tim Spaninks, Lead Game Designer at Critical Force and Juri Juskevits, Head of Community at Critical Force, will discuss, whether you can build a game specifically to become an e-sports hit, what an e-sports game is and share lessons they have learned.

Marko Kylmämaa, Reforged CTO & Co-Founder, first started programming games on Commodore-64. His industry experience has since then been forged in building games like League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Battlefield and now a new title in production at Reforged Studios. Marko will talk about Engineering e-Sports.
