IGDA Finland presents: Game Music performed by a Symphony Orchestral

IGDA Finland is not just a community, we also care for the artistry that goes into making games like the wonderful music that can be heard in games. Now, for the first time ever, IGDA Finland has the opportunity to support an orchestra that is performing many of the classic compositions and songs we all are so familiar with.

During the evening you will hear music from games such as The Last of Us, Mega Man, Final Fantasy and Bloodborne and a bunch of others!

Get 15% off Your Ticket to Games Gathering in Bratislava

The Games Gathering is going to Bratislava with an online and live format taking place from Oct 18-21.

In order to make the event accessible to everyone, particularly those who can’t travel, the 18th will be a one-day online event of talks and networking. Then, on the 19th, game developers, publishers, investors and other industry experts will head to Bratislava for a two-day in-person conference on the 20-21st at the Hotel Tatra.

The event will feature lectures of industry experts and networking opportunities. The team is looking for fill the last few speaker slots, so anyone interested in giving a talk should fill out this form by Oct 1st.

Indie Developers are encouraged to apply to demo their games in the Indie Blast, an indie game demo zone, which offers teams an opportunity to show off their games, get feedback from colleagues and industry experts, as well as, a chance at winning the top prize of $1000. Fill out this form to apply by Oct 1st and note that preference is given to teams who sign up early.

Last Call for the Big Indie Pitch

Attention Indie Developers: Are you currently working on a new mobile, smartwatch, or handheld game?

The Mobile edition of the Very Big Indie Pitch will take place at Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki on Tuesday September 27th from 14:00-17:00. This unique speed dating format gives each developer five minutes (including Q&A) with each panel of experts, meaning all entrants will get feedback in real-time and post-event via email too. Think speed-dating for developers and experts, and you get the idea.

The basic criteria:

• You can pitch games for Mobile, Mobile VR and AR

• You can pitch your game even if you’ve pitched it at a previous BIP

• They prefer to see unreleased games, though we’re happy to see games that are out too

• They allow studios with a max of 12 members to enter the Big Indie Pitch (this includes the staff of any partners you are working with)

The deadline for submissions is September 16th.
